The Yamim Noraim or High Holidays possess some of the most memorable and important music in our Hazzanut tradition in the Eastern European context. Hazzan Presler has many new arrangements as well as original settings for these Days of Awe.

The theme of the High Holiday which appears most often is God as King, Melech al Kol Ha’aretz. The word painting necessitates that the word Melech is accompanied by an ascending melody. Also, the theme of the Alenu for the High Holidays, which dates back hundreds of years and is considered a Misinai tune, also features a melodic idea which appears in many places in the High Holiday Liturgy. This piece is one of them.
